Welcome to The Weekend Hippie,
a place where you can retreat & reconnect with your free spirited peaceful self.
Created by long time yogini Jeanna Palmada,
The Weekend Hippie offers simple, beautifully balanced body, mind & spirit yoga wellness retreats, where you can escape from life's busy pace & everyday responsibilities.
Jeanna ‘found’ yoga 15 years ago when she was a busy, strung out teacher. Upon experiencing the feelings of peace and clarity she had following her first class, she was hooked from then on.
Years later, having transitioned from teaching children, to heart based coaching and mentoring of adults, Jeanna continued to follow the call of her heart, going on to study Reiki, to the attainment of Reiki Master level, then completing her first 200 hour yoga teacher training at the Byron Yoga Centre, studying under John Oglivie.
The Weekend Hippie is where Jeanna brings each piece of her life experience puzzle together; to create yoga and wellness retreats designed to recapture the essence of who you really are.
During retreats, Jeanna blends her experience of ashtanga, vinyasa, restorative & yin yoga in her classes, which are alignment based, intelligently sequenced and designed to flex, lengthen and strengthen, mind and body. She has also created a totally unique Restorative Reiki Yoga session, where both Reiki and yoga are combined to create a deeply nurturing and what can be a profoundly healing, yoga experience.
The Weekend Hippie retreats allow time for you to be pampered with body treatments, educated through wellness workshops, nourished with delicious healthy food, nurtured through the experience of connection & most importantly, have fun!
When asked, clients said that what they love most about The Weekend Hippie is that the space is provided for them to just breathe, let go of everything, and be totally in the moment.
‘This is the space,’ Jeanna says, ‘where magic happens. Life literally slows down to where it’s just you completely in the moment, allowing you to breathe deeply, relax fully and restore a healthy thriving body, mind and spirit.’
